The expression of desire, like we have seen before, requires that obtaining the action that we wish is only hypothetic, we don’t know with certainty if that action is going to become reality, its realization remains in suspense. With this explanation we introduce the following use of the subjunctive:

Express and hypothetic situation

If the subject of the verb of the principal sentence matches up with the its subordinate sentence that appears in infinitive,.

Let’s see an example of this theory

“Necesitamos que nos ayudes con los deberes” . Therefore Estructura Verbo + que + subjuntivo

Necesitamos recibir ayuda. Therefore Estructura Verbo + infinitivo
